Pasarela de Relleu, also called Pasarela de la Presa de Relleu, is a cliffside walkway near the village of Relleu in the Marina Baixa area of Alicante. It is sometimes described as a smaller Alicante version of the Caminito del Rey, because the wooden walkway is fixed into the rock face above a narrow gorge.
The walkway forms part of the Ruta del Pantano de Relleu, a walking route around the old Relleu reservoir and dam. The official site describes the route as one of Relleu’s “best-kept treasures”, with the walkway only accessible on foot and located part-way along the route.
Why it is a good Hidden Gem
This is a strong one for Hidden Gems because it has the “wow” factor without being just another beach or viewpoint. You get mountain scenery, a gorge, history, a bit of adrenaline, and a proper photo opportunity.
It is especially good for:
Walkers and hikers
The route gives visitors a reason to explore inland Alicante, not just the coast.
Adventure-style content
The narrow cliffside walkway and glass viewing platform make it feel more exciting than a normal walking route.
History and landscape
The route passes through an area linked to the old Relleu reservoir and dam, with old water infrastructure and paths around the gorge.
What you’ll see
The main attraction is the wooden and metal walkway attached to the rock wall. It leads along the gorge with railings, views into the ravine, and a glass viewing point over the drop.
The official route also mentions the 17th-century reservoir/dam setting, old irrigation features, a lime kiln, canals, and recovered old paths such as Camí de les Ripalmes / Fasamais.
